I really really really want an apadravya. *I have had my PA for more than a year and absolutely love it; as im sure everyone who has one does ;) *But the thing is in my town, Pocatello, Idaho, Everyone wants to charge a hundred and fifty dollars. *I just dont feel comfortable paying that much. *If a piercer is comfortable with their skill level, they would treat this like any other piercing. *Am I right? *

I have been looking for a piercing parlor in Salt Lake City, because its the closest real city...the trouble is most of them dont have online sites; i cant even check out prices, compre reputations, or even see the place. *Is there anything I can do? *Or am i condemmed to drive 2 hours and spend the day looking for a suitable suite?

You can call around different studios, and ask them for credentials and whatnot. Beyond that...you'll have to make the trip.

Just make a day of it. *You'll have to make sure you absolutely trust and adore the piercer. *Don't put your goods in just anybody's hands! *Make sure to look at their portfolio, and if you don't like their work (look at nipple piercings, make sure they're straight, make sure none of the piercings are crooked, no piercing (regardless of location) is too shallow. *Find out if they're planning on using clamps or not...I would recommend freehand piercing, but only by highly skilled piercers. *Clamps are ... evil. *Ask if they do VCH's with clamps or receiving tubes...if they say clamps, run away...even though you're a guy...anybody who does a VCH with clamps is an idiot.

AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO WALK OUT AND TRY THE NEXT SHOP ON YOUR LIST!!!

I'd also suggeset going to the APP website and checking to see if there are any APP certified piercers in that area.
