ear cuffs?

a long time ago i remember seeing a pic of someone's ear wearing an earcuff. i thought they looked pretty spifty, and i just remembered them today so i set out to find them. i did find some, but now i have a question: how do these work? do they go through actual piercings or do they just...clamp onto your ear? here are some pics of what i found.

so, if anyone can tell me how these work so i know whether to even bother getting them or not, it'd greatly help. * :grin:

They just slide/clamp onto your ear. *You adjust them by squeezing them shut or pulling open if needed. *I've been wearing one like a snug piercing for years. *Here's a small pic of me with it.

how depressing....they look spifty, i want one. they should make some that go in actual piercings...

that would require having a long slit for a hole.

I've seen some actual earrings that look kinda like that at Claire's. But we all know the high quality of their jewelry.

Ear cuffs are fun! I've taken random toe rings and slid them onto my ears and then pinched them to stay a bit tighter. The effect is, apparently, cool... my neighbors and my roommate have also begun doing the same. It's pretty spiffy looking. *:mrgreen:

mm, i like them all. i wish i had money >.> even if i did though, i need to buy some steel plugs because all i have right now is acrylic and my ears aren't happy about it....
