i was thining about getting my ear pierced and then gaging it up to a 6 eventually. all i have pierced is my tongue right now and im at a 10g happily. Does anyone know if u can see through your ear when u take the jewelry out? Im not looking to do that. and if not, what gage does that start showing? thanks :)

I have a 10g lobe piercing and you can kind of see through it when I take the jewelry out. In my 12g piercing you can't. In my 8g conch piercing, well, that's definitely see-through. :twisted:

You could get your ears pierced and then when they are healed you can stretch. You could start at pretty much any gauge, meaning you could hop right in at 6ga if you wanted. Although you would have to talk to your piercer about that. Some will pierce at lower gauges like that, but others won't unless they know you.

I have 6g top holes in my lobe piercings. With jewelry in, you can see through it. With jewelry out, you still kind of can. It looks like a larger-than-normal hole. But then again, that also depends on how your lobe reacts after a certain period of time.
