Traveling for a tattoo

So i did some research and i finally found the person i think has the best experience with UV tattoos, the problem is hes a few states away from me.

I'm thinking i'll take the trip in the spring, so 3 to 4 months or so. I have a few ideas about what i want, for my first i want a tat with uv on top, to accent the tattoo iteself.

I'm still trying to narrow my ideas but i've got a few that i really like, i'll keep it updated with my plans but am i crazy for going this far? (Missouri to Colorado)

I'd take my girlfriend and stay down in CO for a weekend or something, have alittle trip and some fun out of it.

I'd be going to The American Tattoo Society, "TATS" to see Richie.. here's some of his work.

Oooo nice stuff there. Looks like it might be worth the road trip. Any road trip is cool though. I think you're smart waiting until after winter and the DEEP snow stuff. *grin*

tattoo thats on your body for the rest of you life that looks freakin awesome that = 13 hour road trip, so so worth it! It's your body your art any travel is worth it. good luck with it

Yeah with the weather over in CO i'd have to wait anyway, this way it gives me some time to think about some designs, i'm thinking i'll go up early april for my birthday, got to love the birthday presents to yourself =)

I'll post some stuff i'm thinking about soon, its hard cause i got a few things that really mean something to me while i got a few that have intrigued me for awhile... we'll see i've got time

the trip is worth it if the tattooist is good
and buy the looks he/she is good.
my next tatt is going to be a full Jap spec Legging form my ankle to my waist
and for that im going to be travelling to a guy in Japan.

however im nto sure about that ultraviolet ink ive heard some abd things about it.

well i will be making the trip in the spring, and i've seen and heard some good things about the new uv ink thats been released since the first batch of bad ink came out
so we'll see... you only live once right? and i'm not one to tiptoe through eh :twisted:

as for me im saving for my Trip to Japan slowly but surely :D i gotta be thier for atleat a week to a fortnight i reckon cos theirs no chance in hell im getting on a plane within days of getting a full sleeve or legging done haha
