Just wanted to share with you since I am so proud of my spiral!

Spiral was 92 x 25G and arms were 54 x 25G each.

Wow, that looks really cool! How did it feel? I bet the rush was great. How long did it take to complete?

shakah

Thanks :) It was painful, especially on the sides but the rush was great indeed. With the arms it took 3.5 hours but we chatted and did it slowly. I'd say the spiral took around an hour to complete. Maybe a bit more.

Wow, that looks so awesome.

Glad to hear that it was an enjoyable experience. It looks like some fun.

that is beautiful! congratulations! the only "play" piercing i've done thus far is acupuncture...which sucks. gonna make Bird do a corset on me once my ears are healed though!

the spiral is amazingly beautiful though...it's...gorgeous.

Thank you :D

Ria, I find it funny that you say that because I was scared of acupuncture even though I did some play piercing before. I didn't like the thought of having needles stuck on my face and feet but it didn't hurt at all.

me and my gf are planning a play piercing session soon ... nuffin to that scale tho lol ... just 20g piercing needles and very few ....

she wants to go and get a corset up her side at one point to ... but i think my corset idea is better ... im gonna get one put up the back of my neck

shakah
03-03-2005, 03:14 PM
Are you going to do it yourself or go to a professional? Just curious. Corsets are beautiful. I need to get one done someday.

i dunno probs do it myself ... cos weve got all the sterile stuff ... hypadermic needles, clamps (still in sterile pakets), antiseptic wash stuff for the skin before you put a needle in...

shakah
03-04-2005, 01:11 PM
You probably won't need the clamps. I personally think it's easier free-hand. anyways!

Have fun!

Illyria Jade_mod
03-04-2005, 02:40 PM
agreed, on the back, freehand is easier. *and less painful for the piercee.

ug...just never try acupunture where they hook the needles up to a battery-powered electric stimulator. *that SUCKS.

shakah
03-04-2005, 07:36 PM
Needles up to a battery-powered electric stimulator? * *Never heard of that and not sure I wanna try it either.

Kelt9
03-06-2005, 07:47 PM
Yeah. *It stimulates the flow of chi in much the same way as when they twirl the needle going in. *Not all accupuncturists use it, but I've been witness to some good results from it.

Hmm. I think it'd just hurt more than necessary....

If Ria tried clamps on me, I'd kick her. I bruise as-is!

That's another thing...Shakah, did you bruise at all?

shakah
03-06-2005, 09:58 PM
My back didn't bruise very much but my arms were completely blue/green. I've heard that taking Arnica a little bit before and after really helps with the bruising but I haven't tried it myself. I bought some but haven't done play piercing yet. I'll probably do some later this wekk. I'll let you know.

Arnica? What's that?

Hmm. Lucky duck! The only ones of mine that didn't bruise was the corset.

shakah
03-06-2005, 10:10 PM
Not that lucky. My back is the only place that doesn't bruise.

Arnica is a homeopathic remedy. Apparently it assists the body's normal reponse to shock, injury and bruising helping the body's normal defence mechanisms in times of trauma. You usually can find it in tablets, liquid and cream though the cream isn't really an option since it not recommended to apply it to broken skin.

I'm sorry...I had clamps on my nipples. *After that, I really quite appreciate freehand piercings SOOOOO very much more!

tomreid500
03-07-2005, 04:25 PM
i had a clamp for my nipple ... dont think theyd b able to do nipples without clamps would they??

some piercers can pierce just about anything freehand.

metalmilitia_mod
03-07-2005, 05:57 PM
i tottally agree with this. i am a piercer from full on ink tattoo and body piercing studio in evesham england. i was trained to pierce free-hand and it sooo much kinder to the body.less bruising and aggro. i am kinda new to this whole forum thing too.just joined today. are you a piercer? :)

As far as I know, so far the only regular user who is a piercer is you. Our Website Admin is, but as for regular users...you're it, dear!

I'm as close to being a piercer as it gets with no training, no apprenticeship, and no shop. *I've been working in the industry for about 3.5-4 years now, running forums (both administration and giving answers/advice), running piercing "tech support", that kind of stuff. *The only needles I poke in people are the ones I poke in Bird (and myself but injections don't count). *Play piercing and a few real piercings.

A DIY'er is still the piercee. ;)

Yeh. We've currently aquired a good group of regular users, however, only two of those are verified piercers. Now, the DIYers of the House abound...*self included!*

Keep in mind, though, this is still a very young board, in comparison to others. We're growing rapidly.

heh...you're less of a "DIY" (do it yourself) and more of a "DIR" (do it Ria piercing).
