Just wondering how many of you out there got a tattoo in one of these "hard to tattoo places". I have a small tattoo on my toe. I found that a lot of tattoo parlors won't tattoo your toes. Usually because they can't guarantee their work because the ink doesn't take or it rubs off quickly.

Anyway, my tattoo is just a small, simple, black tattoo of a pisces symbol. Here's a pic:

So, my question is... What should I do with it? And is it even possible to do anything at all being a toe tattoo? I want it touched up because it seems a little crooked or off-center to me. I want it a little thicker or something. So, some ideas of what to do to it would be cool, maybe continue down my foot or something? I'd also like some stories from any of you that have tattoos in any of these areas... how well they've lasted, etc.

Thanks!

I don't know if you could do something springing off of it, but you could do a similar-themed piece on the rest of your foot.

I'm a terrible artist, so I can't offer much more than that. :-)

I have both of my feet tattooed, however, neither of them extend down my toes.

You have so many different directions you could take this! I am excited for you! It would be awesome to see it take place. Try looking on the internet for foot tattoos and get some ideas!

You could always find a different version of the Pisces symbol, one with more of a picture to it, and have that done on your foot. I have seen the line symbols like you have and much more elaborate ones that would tie in with the one on your toe. Sorry I can't direct you towards them, google it and you should find a half dozen or more.

Well, I took sno angel's advice and did some googling. (lol, if thats a word) I found some amazing detailed tattoos on toes. And one of them happened to be from a tattoo artist in my area! So, I emailed him some pics with some ideas and hopefully I'll hear back from him today. I honestly don't think this will happen soon though because I'd have to wear sandals for 2 weeks and it's freezing! I'm going to Houston the end of march though so maybe I'll get it done before I go.

I recently had both my feet touched up... It's snowing here... flip flops in the mush isn't much fun!! But my feet look great!!

Let us know how the appt goes! I love foot ink (obviously) and would like to see what you guys come up with!

Well, I had my consultation yesturday. Great guy. Awesome work. I'll try to sort of draw out what we're thinking and post here. (And to show my husband in hopes he might actually like it)

He's not the one that has to live with it! It's on your body, you'll be the one who needs to be satisfied.

BTW, I'd love to see it :)

Really though, he has to live with it too. He'll see my feet almost as much as me. Haha.

I'm still designing. I'll post pics soon.
