I got stretchies!!!

Disclaimer: yes, I stretched early. *No, it's not the right thing to do. *But either I stretch so I can put in my glass, or I take my jewelry out for my MRI/CT scans and lose all 4 of my new piercings. *I do not recommend stretching early, and my actions should not be repeated unless absolutely necessary. *If you have a problem with what I've done, I suggest notreplying.

From 10 and 14 to 8 and 12! *

Painless and simple, they wouldn't have even needed the tapers if I hadn't wanted to use them. *The 12g tapers litterally slid through the 14g holes and and went shooting out the back! *LOL* *So I just slid the 12g rings in. *For the 10 to 8 stretch the tapers were helpful. *They slid through easily but they were a little bit of a *stretch*.

So, now i've got even bigger shinies! *I don't think I'll have any problem getting the glass in in a couple days!

Ok, Gota ask. Did you get the orings on?

Story for the rest of you...
Ria and I both have the same problem when it comes to CBRs...we hate trying to get the little ball on the ring. So we went out and bought orings (since, you know, I am the Queen of losing orings...), and discovered that they were too large for her CBRs unless she twisted them over. Ok, the things are TINY when you're trying to see them in a mirror, much less twist them and put them on the ring!

not yet...once mom gets home i'm gonna have her hold the rings while i twist the orings onto my 12g taper...which is easy...then i'm gonna try to slide it off the taper onto the cbr. *dunno if it will work, but i can't manage to get the orings on with the cbr in my ear...

edit: i wound up finding a better way. *I twisted the orings onto my 8g taper, then slid them down the taper onto a pair of needle nose pliers. *Opened the pliers (with the oring double-wrapped around it), and closed it over the end of my cbr, then pushed the orings off onto the cbr!

Many thanks to the United States Postal Service who kept me in sheer panic right down to the last minute, but my glass arrived today! *Otherwise I was gonna be soooooooooooooooooooooooooo screwed tomorrow for my MRI, I didn't want to go and buy crappy acrylic for a ton of money to wear for 2 hours.


So, I got my doubleflares in the mail today. *2mm and 3mm (aka 12g and 8g). *The 2mm are tiny enough currently that the flares will slide right through my ear. *So I'm rather praying that my ears will shrink a bit (and very quickly) so I don't have to worry about them coming out at night. *They're all about 1cm in length, which makes them about twice as long as my ear is wide.

I love them though, they're absolutely beautiful, even though they're so small that the cobalt is reallllly dark. *I'll get pictures and put them up in my gallery on the piercing pictures thingy later today!

So, any problems putting any of them in? I mean, have you done the other set, yet?

Ummm...it was a learning process, but it wasn't too bad. *I got both sets in in under 5 minutes.
