I've been wanting hip piercings for a while now, but I've always been scared to get it done 'cause I'm paranoid of them rejecting. 'Cause I've heard from A LOT of people they reject like crazy and don't always heal. So, I did my research and found out about microdermals a couple months ago. I don't really like that they are semi-permanent, but I think I might just get them done anyway for my upcoming birthday in a couple months. I talked to a professional piercer that's very experienced with microdermals "Jonny Needles", don't know if you've ever heard of him, but he told me that you don't have to get them cut out by a doctor or surgically removed and that you can just have a professional piercer just pull them out. Which I bet you could do that if they weren't healed up, but wouldn't that be impossible to do if they're healed? I'm probably over-thinking this like I do with everything else. Haha. But, I'm so paranoid in general, so I like to do my research on my piercings before I get them. [:
Help, yeah?

i have a microdermal and it's been doing perfectly well, i took a whole lot of care of it when i first got it though.

as for the procedure of removing it? a friend of mine had one taken out on his cheekbone professionally, all he did is pull it out. it hurt, but not too bad according to him.

That's good. I love mine and will most likely get more in the future. Nothing to worry about either, if they're done the right way, it's virtually painless to get done. Just be sure to clean it and take care of it. What I did to begin with was to take a cotton ball and soak it with saline solution and squeeze it out over it. It isn't suggested to clean it with a soaked q tip right from the start because you want to avoid getting under it, irritating it, or pulling on it. Good luck! Let me know how it all goes.

I was just about to ask how to clean it, so thanks again! :)
I'll probably post pictures once I get it done, which might be a little while 'cause I have to find a good piecer around here who is experienced with them. Ah. Hopefully I'll find somebody.

Yeah, there's only one person around here that I trust. He uses the best techniques and basically knows everything about everything, ha. There's some around here so basicalltke multiple stabs and keep poking and poking it constantly until the whole area is bruised and it just comes out nasty. Its all on the technique. Trying to find a way to post pictures of myself and all my stuff, too. But I use my blackberry for all this, ha. Getting a laptop prett soon so ill be able to put up some pictures of mine. Unless anyone knows how to extract pictures from my blackberry to this site? Anyways, always glad to help out and again, good luck!

Ha, good luck with that. Yeah, it really is hard to find some good places, depending on your locale, but luckily I found a great place.
