Okay, I got my left nostril pierced around 3 weeks ago (on good frieday) and i am having endless problems it seems like. I love it other than:

the ring falls out extrememly easy. it fell out completely when i slept the 1st day i had it. So i started wearing bandaids to bed. a week later i tired to sleep without a bandaid. it fell out and thankfully wasn't healed up. I was drying my face 2 days ago when i came out of the shower and dabbed around the ring, i don't even think i touched it and it slid half way out. Now, because it keeps falling out, i have developed a dark bump touching the piercing and it seems to get bigger everytime it fells out.

i think the piercer did something wrong. When he bent the jewelry, he only bent it once, so it is in an "L" shape. aren't you supposed to wear *screws in your nostril, meaning he meant to bend it another time to make a screw?

Should i just keep wearing bandaids to bed until it heals and 6 weeks is up until i change it, or should i go get an actual screw so that it won't keep falling out, causing this bump to get worse?

i have my lip and my belly button pierced. i had no trouble with my lip, but my belly button developed something like this on the bottom. it oozed and was big and red. it went away finally and haven't had any problems.

Thanks.

Definitely go get an actual screw. *Each time it comes out and you have to put it back in, you're creating scar tissue and making your bump worse, and delaying healing, pretty much back to the starting point. *

I'd suggest having a piercer put the screw in, it can be tricky the first time, though you can try if you want to. *Just put it in and kind of twist it into the hole. *Not that that make much sense. *

I had an L "screw" once, and it was a nightmare, I pulled it out all the time like you are...I have a real screw now, very c shaped, and I've never had a problem with it pulling out. *Even when I get it caught on a towel, it just hurts and tugs, but doesn't come out.

thanks alot. i figured that this "L" shaped stud isn't right.
can the actual "C" screw fall out, or *is it pretty rare?
thanks!

Well, it CAN fall out....any jewelry can fall out, some way or another. But the likelihood of the 'c screw' falling out is WAY lower than a 'l screw'.

But please. Don't get a nose bone. Those are harmful.
