How long before i can change it

i got my tongure pierced about 3 weeks ago and i was wondering how long do i have to wait before i can change it i know it has to be healed and everything like that but just to make sure how long should i wait? and my friend bought me a new barbell from EDIT is that a good brand to use because i know some places really suck with there jewerly

You should go back to the piercer, who can determine if it is all right to change the jewelry. I'm assuming you want to change it because the swelling has gone down, and teh barbell is now too long? That's generally the reason.

I am familiar with the brand that you posted in your question. It depends on the type that you got for the quality of the jewelry. Some of it is fine, but some of it is not of the highest quality.
