Does anyone know if they will allow you to keep a piercing in if you have surgery? *There is a good chance that I will be having surgery soon and I dont want to loose my piercings. *I got them done April 1 and they still arent quite healed.

Is there some invisible jewlery that I can put in them? Like a retainer or something?

I have tegaderms and I dont see why putting one of those over them wouldnt work. *but its the hospital, so who knows.

They will almost positively want you to take them out, however they'll let you put in something that is non-metal.

I would suggest PTFE. *We sell PTFE with Acrylic balls (http://www.painfulpleasures.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=101&cat=51&page=1), which would be perfect for what you want. *It's a great material for piercings, can be left in long-term, and is non-stick, so it helps crusties to come out and off more easily. *I'd suggest getting a couple of them, and you can cut them each to fit your piercings (leave room to screw on the jewelry, and for swelling!). *And best of all, your doctor won't be able to object!
