im thinking bout soon getting a piercing at the top of my scrotum (stupid word) and another one through my penis (can you use a diffrent name for it on this site?) an i was jus wanting to get some comments, *from guys bout whats comfortable n any pros n cons that dont come down to personal taste, and from the ladies ("the ladies" jus sounds sleezy) what looks good n feels good, n whats the least shocking or confronting to a new partner that isnt so big on piercings. thanks

I had a lorum (right where the penis and scrotum meet) for a while. *It was very comfortable, but I think it's mainly a *visual piercing--my wife didn't benefit from it, if that's what you're looking for. *You can see this in my Prince Albert pic on the PP photo galleries.

The Prince Albert: *I love this one! *I liked to wear a circular barbell, but my wife preferred a captive bead ring (more comfortable for her). *I never had discomfort with this either, unless my kids jumped in my lap!

Right now I've got an apadravya (there's a pic of this posted too). *I can't really say if my wife is going to like this more or less than the PA, since I'm still using a longer barbell (you want some extra length initially). *This one had a little more discomfort the first week, but since then is not uncomfortable.

One disadvantage of the PA is it tends to divert your urine and can make a mess when you pee. *This doesn't mean you need to sit down--just be careful, maybe roll it over so the piercing is to the side or top. *Once I got to six gauge, I had much less trouble.

From a pleasure standpoint, I recommend the guiche. *Mine was slow to heal with moderate discomfort (it gets a lot of irritation from sitting until healed). *But...that is a very sensual area, and I get some great sensations from having the ring played with.

Hope this helps.

We ask that you use "penis" or "genitals" when posting, some of the slang terms for genitalia (of both genders) can be found offensive by others. *So keep the names for your 'bits' as polite as possible, please!

But you need to beware...not all partners will appreciate any piercings down there. *You may get some that will refuse to have anything to do with those kinds of pierced parts.

The ones that are most pleasurable for women are commonly said to be PAs and Apadravyas. *I've heard from several sources (one being a famous piercer) that a Prince Albert can increase the intensity of the male orgams up to 6 times.

yeah a lorum is one im going for, but jus a tad lower. i think with the other one ill vote for a pa because they are the more know male genital piercing so i think more partners will find it less confronting an easier to work with (im not gunna go with all that if she doesnt like my piercings for who i am then shes not worth it crap) only thing is i just imagine it might be funny to put a condom over and in my head whenever i think of a pa and penitration (thats a diplomatic word huh) then i just think of the pa making the whole thing deflect, which i know cant be true otherwise no one would have a pa. thanks for the info you 2

A condom shouldn't be any problem with a PA. *During healing it's necessary, and I never had any issues. *There are pleanty of uncircumcised men out there with this piercing--I'm speculating, but that seems to be about the same effect as a condom. *

There are condoms on the market that have extra room towards the top. *Maybe someone can name a brand? *These are supposed to be better (particularly with newer piercings) since they aren't as tight.

My PA was pierced at 14 ga. *If I was to do it again I'd probably start at 10 gauge. *
I wasn't happy until I got to 6--when I got *there, I liked the look and feel and stuck with it. *

It's all personal preference, though. *If bigger needles aren't for you, you can always stretch (though I've heard that PA's under 14 gauge are more prone to migration).

Piercings below the neck should never, ever be done with anything less than a 14g. *Yes, they're prone to migration, the way that a wire is prone to migrate through cheese (as Ria calls it, it's the "cheese cutter effect.") *There's a lot more movement in the body than in the ears or nostrils, and something so thin as 16g just slices through your flesh.

Speaking from that scientific side, pierce at LEAST at 14g, though it's better if it's 12g or 10g, especially since you've said that you've a high pain tolerance. *Of course, if you want, you can stretch from there. *As for personal advice, well, I can't help there... I've never gotten a PA. *:P

i dont have a hight pain tolderance im a sooky boy! but i also dont like paying for stuff im not gunna use so i guess ill just go the larger gauge straight off. but itll be the lorum first, so should i just go a large gauge first there or would that have to stretch coz the skin down there seems kinda thin

Based on my (limited) experience, I'd say the closer to the final gauge you can start the better off you are.

My lorum started off at 14 ga. *I stretched it to 8 without any trouble, but when i tried going to 6 ga it started migrating so I just took it out. *
The skin in this area seems to be more fragile than in other parts of the body, and it definately responded differently to stretching than my other piercings. *
My first attempt at a lorum, the entry and exit holes were too close and I knew right away it would be a problem. *Second try was much better.

As far as pain goes, everybody is different but I don't feel much of a difference between a 14 ga and a 10 ga needle.

Migration shouldn't be a problem if you stretch properly...you have to stretch down there just the same as you would stretch your ears...slowly and gently, and only 1 guage at a time. *

I would say not to start with the PA or the Lorum any smaller than 12g. *I suggest 12g for most genital piercings, so that you don't get the cheese cutter effect, and they usually seem more comfortable to the wear-ers.

Also, if you are really worried about the skin being too thin, or being at all thin, ust go ask your piercer. He or she will know what is normal and necessary for the piercing to be successful.

I had my PA piercied with an 8 gauge, as far as pain goes the worst part was the recieving tube being placed inside the urthera. *After being pierced the guaging did not hurt as long as i took it slow (by slow i mean really slow .5 hours for 8 to 6 and 1.5 hours from 6 to 4). *For comments on the reactions of females most seem to be curios than disgusted and i have not had any complaints on the way it feels for them. *I hope this helps.

Make sure that if you do stretch, you allow at least a month between stretches!!
