Spiffydooooom.... *There's to be a big modification party (http://www.modifiedworld.com/data/info.htm) with scarification and suspension and pulling and all sorts of good things, and I'm considering joining up to do that front corset and maybe a temporary collarbone-dip piercing to complete the outfit. *We'll see; it depends heavily on how much ten holes cost to pierce, and if I could borrow or rent some autoclaved slave-rings through which to thread a ribbon, and also if I can find a ride (pretty sure my studio here offers a busride) and a safe place to kip for the night. *(AND it's during Oktoberfest! *I'll be able to see big burly Germans bonking each other over the head with equally big, burly biersteins. *That'll be interesting.)

Is ten holes too much for a newbie to playpiercings, do you think? *I've a fairly decent pain tolerance: remember that when I got my industrial done, I was positively giddy with happiness over how much it hurt. *What gauge would you recommend? *I'm thinking 16g (if I can get jewelry that small, and I know, I would never go that small were this not a temporary thing), or if not, 14g. *(Edit) *Or, ooh! *This would also look really good with rings...

Doom, I am excited about this.

Another thing to be excited about: gauges are apparently smaller than I thought they were. *I do have 14g in my industrial: exactly what I wanted!

*major happydance*

10 holes in your front would be intense for a first piercing.

I'd vote for 16g for your first.

I agree...even 16g for 10 piercings will be pretty freaking intense for your first time. *You might want to get a few needles and try piercing your front (go shallow since it will be your first time piercing yourself) and see how the pain is, if you think you could handle 10 16g's. *Then you can make a more informed choice before you spend your money on jewelry and having it done.

Jewelry is included with the price, I recently found out. *And... *yeah. *I'll bump that down to 8 piercings, and I know even that will be intense. *The hosting piercer's reply is In The Mail (I stopped by my local studio to barage my piercer with questions, none of which he knew the answer to, so he called the studio hosting.) *I'll chat with the host over how much to do how big the first time, and if I have any doubts, I'll see if my piercer would be willing to sell me some needles or do a couple of play piercings on me (since the event is in two weeks and I'd like to have as much time to heal between play piercings as possible, and I don't know where to get good needles here.) *

So, yes, I'm bringing bread, chocolate, and lots of chili tea. *I ain't fainted yet, and I don't ever intend to. *;) *I've been kicking my butt at the gym, so my body health is really picking up, as well.

Oh, gods. *I am so incredibly excited about this. *After my brain stopped having to think over German class, it started doing little firework explosions: I'm headed to Munich to play!

Personally, I recommend carbs, since they don't digest too quickly, and some fruits.

Gearing yourself up on sugars that digest quickly (ie, chocolate) and caffeine is not something that I'd suggest, since it's a total high then quick crash, and you're going to want something in your body that will sustain you before, during, and then at least an hour or so after the piercings are done.
