My nipple piercing came out!

First let me start off by saying I've had my nipples pierced for about 1 month. I never had any issues whatsoever. No swelling. No pain. Occasional minimal lymph drainage.

Three days ago I was relaxing after a long day and I looked to my left...to my horror I saw the ball of my barbell laying on the bed next to me. I found the actual bar on the floor. Ofcourse I panicked even though the jewelry was out for maybe only 30 minutes. I thankfully had a backup pair of barbells. As I threaded the barbell in everything was going smoothly until the very end...I scraped the inside of my fissure. I bled a little and quickly cleaned with salt water. Since my incident I feel some irritation in the fissure and I have some slight swelling. I haven't had any additional drainage since that day. I'm worried about not healing properly. What should I do?

To keep out unwanted spam messages, all new members must have their first 3 messages approved (vetted) by the moderators before they can post freely.

The forum has undergone some recent changes. Many were for the good, but it also introduced a bug. When an unvetted member posts to an existing discussion, it does not show up as other posts do. If a fully vetted member posts, the section they post in is highlighted and the thread list has a green dot next to the thread they post in. Also if you click on "new posts" it will show up in the list. Unvetted members do not show at all. The only time an unvetted members post show is if they create a new thread and even then it's not very easy to find. PP is working on getting this fixed, but it may take some time.

If you post to the forum for help and you don't get a reply you are not being ignored. Please send a private message and include a thread link.

Stay calm. Perform SSS at least twice a day. You likely just scraped the inside a little. Assuming the jewelry you put it was sanitized/sterilized, you probably just scraped the inside a little. At 1 month in everything is still very sensitive. Perform SSS twice a day minimum and hopefully you should start to feel better soon.
