Okay so I'm interested in purchasing a septum clicker. My piercing is 16g but I have no idea what size (diameter?) to get so that it is very close to my nose. I want it to look cute, dainty and very small. Anyone have an idea as to what size I should get and where to purchase one? I added my photos so you can see how low my piercing is to get a better idea of sizes. image.jpg image.jpg

I would imagine it will depend on where you are pierced and the space available. Everyone is a little different. Any piercer should be able to measure the jewelry you currently have so you know its size for reference.and even recommend a size.

I am not an employee of Painful Pleasures and currently the store site is down so I have no idea if they sell clickers. I will pass this along to someone who can help.

    Hey there!

I'm a product specialist at PP and like dnd4evr said, the size (diameter) depends on where on the septum your piercing is located and how much space is available. Judging by your pictures, it looks like you're wearing a 5/16" diameter - but I'd double check before buying anything.

Here's a link for a size reference chart you can print out and use to measure the diameter of the circular barbell you have in now:

Once you have your size, take a look here at our septum clickers:

It's just a general search, but it shows you a variety of what we have, depending on the look you're going for.

I have a segment ring that hugs my nose perfectly, and these are cool because you can have it anodized to another color:

We also have a lot of decorated, but simple clickers and bendable septum rings:

You'll notice that some of the clickers are 18g, but you can still wear that in your 16g piercing without a problem. Most of them are listed with the dimensions of the design itself (like for the tribal fan and tiered styles), so you can use that to guess how it'd look on your face. If you're still unsure, go to a body piercing shop and any piercer will be able to help you!

Remember that these decorative pieces aren't meant to be worn 24/7, so if you're taking a shower or going to sleep, it should be taken out and replaced with a titanium or stainless steel piece.

    Good luck with your search!
